The origin of this relationship.

It's unknown when or why this relationship was formed initially, although it is probably because does have a generally sweet and loving personality, while not being as fertile as some other human-friendly species (for those humans who want to cross-breed, but don't want huge families)

Why they cross-breed

I pretty much just explained it in the Origin section.

What they offer each other

Human M: Usually faithful to one mate*, Usually a caring father to his offspring*.

Doe: A loving and highly devoted mother to her offspring.  Very friendly towards humans.  More predictable fertility**.

Other Information

Does will not tolerate any human male that hunts deer for any reason (other than for survival purposes...and even then, she doesn't necessarily like it a whole lot), even though a human male, wouldn't in his right mind shoot a doe (that is part-human)***.

*: Although, there are exceptions
**: Does have a fertility cycle similar to humans (they usually are only fertile for 3-5 days per month...although it is possible that does that have enough vixen DNA to ovulate anytime).
***: This would be considered murder under Vulpine law and is only punishable via the Death penalty (Vulpine law is usually stricter than Earth laws).
