***Underwater World***

In addition to the terrestrial life on the Vulpine islands and main land, there is also life in and at the bottom of the Great Ocean.  Although most of the life underwater is the same as you would be able to find on Earth, starting about 500 years ago, species from Vulpes' neighbor planet (Aquaticus) arrived on Vulpes and were able to start colonies in the Great Ocean (mostly near land masses).  The following is a list of all the species that came to Vulpes from Aquaticus and/or were created on Vulpes by cross-breeding.

Seals

Origin: Aquatarian native, arrived on Vulpes about 500 years ago
Current Estimated Population: 10,000
Physical Traits: Seals do not have hands like Vulpines, they have flippers with three claws on each (in order for a seal to grab things, they must wear synthetic hands that go over their flippers).  Seals are amphibious, but prefer to spend most of their time on land.  All seals have waterproof fur and hair.
Special Abilities: None

Sealfoxes

Origin: Vulpine native, Cross-breed of fox and seal (about 100 years ago)
Current Estimated Population: 1,000
Physical Traits: Unlike seals, Sealfoxes do have hands like normal foxes and do have retractable claws.  In addition, they have webbing on each of their hands to aid in swimming. Sealfoxes are amphibious, but prefer to live on land.  All sealfoxes have waterproof fur and hair.
Special Abilities: None

Sea Vixens (Female Only Species)

Origin: Vulpine native, Cross-breed of fox and dolphin (about 500 years ago)
Current Estimated Population: 100
Physical Traits: Sea Vixens have webbed hands and feet for added mobility in the water, they also have "frills" on their tails that act as fins would for a fish.  Although, Sea Vixens are amphibious, they spend most of their time in the water.
Special Abilities: Sea Vixens are known to rescue people from water when necessary.  They are also capable of fighting off and even killing sharks, if necessary.

"Normal" Dolphins

Origin: Aquatarian native, arrived on Vulpes about 500 years ago
Current Estimated Population: 200,000
Physical Traits: Aquatarian dolphins are very similar to Bottlenose Dolphins on Earth.  However, unlike Earth dolphins, they have human intelligence and are able to communicate via both ultrasonic language and normal language.  Also, unlike Earth dolphins, Aquatarian dolphins can cross-breed with other species.  Aquatarian dolphins live exclusively in the water (usually near coastal communities).
Special Abilities: Aquatarian dolphins are natural lifeguards and rescue those who are in danger.  They are also very emotional (and playful) with humans, to Aquatarian dolphins, humans are not only their "best friend" but also their most preferred partner for cross-breeding, when applicable.

"Terrestrial" Dolphins

Origin: Vulpine native, Cross-breed of dolphin and human (about 300 years ago)
Current Estimated Population: 500
Physical Traits: Amphibious dolphins have arms and legs like terrestrial Vulpines, only with webbed hands and feet.  Also, unlike "normal" dolphins, their tail is separate from the rest of their body.  They are able to understand ultrasonic language as well as "normal" language, but can only communicate through "normal" language.  As the title suggests, these dolphins are amphibious, although they spend most of their time in the water.
Special Abilities: Same as "normal" dolphins.

Most of the underwater colonies consist of "normal" and "amphibious" dolphins, with perhaps a sea vixen or two.  Seals and Sealfoxes usually build their homes on dry land, near water.  Dolphins and Sea Vixens can find most of their food and resources in the water.  However, as far as building material for homes are concerned, they usually go to land to find specific building materials for underwater colonies.  I will explain more about underwater colonies and dolphins later in this episode.

Merfoxes

Origin: Vulpine native, Cross-breed of dolphin and fox (unknown origin date)
Current Estimated Population: unknown population (believed to be about 100)
Physical Traits: Merfoxes are half-fox, half-dolphin (similar to Mermaids).  In additional to these characteristics, Merfoxes also have webbed hands.  Merfoxes are created by male dolphins mating with vixens.*
Special Abilities: Merfoxes have claws on their hands like foxes, and all the abilities of a dolphin.

Foxphins

Origin: Vulpine native, Cross-breed of dolphin and fox (unknown origin date)
Current Estimated Population: unknown population (believed to be about 100)
Physical Traits: These are foxes with dolphin-like tails and fins on their arms and legs.  Foxphins are created by male dolphins mating with vixens.*
Special Abilities: Foxphins have claws on their hands like foxes, and all the abilities of a dolphin.

End of Act 4

*: This is caused by an interaction between vixen and dolphin DNA.
